Borough Cross Country Championships

Saturday 11th October saw 210 runners from 26 schools take part in the Enfield Primary Schools Borough Cross Country Championships at Trent Park.

The weather was kind, the support was briiliant and the athletes were awesome.

The course was 1.5km, with an uphill start and an uphill finish.

The girls competition was won by St Paul's, with St Monica's in second and Grange Park third.

The boys competition was won by Grange Park, with St Paul's in second and Oakthorpe in third.

For the first time we presented a trophy to the first school when the girls and boys scores were added together. This trophy is in memory of an Enfield teacher who sadly passed away recently. Nicki Jacques worked at St George's and was the Chair of the EPSSA for many years. Nicki was a keen runner and it is a fitting tribute to her to have this trophy presented annually.

The overall winning school was St Paul's, with Grange Park in second and St Monica's in third.
