Jacob Alan - Hazelwood School - LYG x country

Following on from a successful Borough Cross Country event where Jacob Alan finished second, he was chosen to run for Enfield to compete against all of the London boroughs. The Cross Country race took place at a very muddy Parliament Hill on Saturday 15th November. It was nerve wracking to begin with (for Jacob and Jacob's mum!) as the race began with a steep uphill climb. Jacob got off to a fantastic start near the front of the pack (of over 100 boys!!!) and managed to maintain that through to the second lap of the race. He then finished with an amazing sprint finish to come 10th! A fantastic achievement, especially as he was only 21 seconds behind the winner of the race!
